Criminal Courts of DC focused on three aspects of digital history production: transcription of several sets of court records from the Civil War era in Washington, D.C., decision making regarding the organization of metadata and digital exhibit development. We plan to publicize Criminal Courts of DC at sites of critical digital histories such as the African American Intellectual History Society, African Diaspora Ph.D., Diaspora Hypertext and other venues that encourage conversations about critical digital scholarship.
